Caring Lions Environmental and Nature Education Service Day cum Supporting the 10th Anniversary of Hong Kong GNESCO Global Geopark: Kat O Community Fun Day Activity Details: Attend the kick-off ceremony of the Community Fun Day in the Hong Kong Global GNESCO Geopark community, visit the Kat O Temple, the story hall, the Main Street, the mountain hill, and clean the beach* (Note 1) *(Note 1) Beach cleaning and garbage classification: -Sort the recyclables and collect them in transparent bags (plastic, metal, paper, glass); garbage are collected in black garbage bags. -Record the quantity and total weight of various recyclables and garbage. -Transport the large garbage to the garbage station. In addition, pick up and transport the bagged garbage to the garbage station. The bagged recyclables (metal, paper, glass, plastic) are sorted and put into the recycling bin. *(Note 2) The curved coastline of Kat O can be used as a natural haven and is regarded as an auspicious bay by fishermen, hence the name Kat O.
